Centered Life International
Centered Life International represents a lifelong passion for Ted and Tami Miller.
Many years ago, we preached a sermon from Ephesians 5 where Paul gives the instructions to walk circumspectly. In Paul’s instructions were also the words to redeem the time. Hidden in these thoughts is the genesis of living a Centered Life.
We have discovered that Jesus is not meant to be first in our lives, but his intention is to be the center of our lives. Jesus is not the first item on a task list that gets checked off, but he desires to be involved in every area of our lives. His leadership and His Lordship are meant to be reflected in all that we do, say, and think.
Living the centered life is not one of pressure and performance, but one of living in confident humility. Confident in our position in Christ and humbled by the grace that we all are shown. We are made in the image of God, and His desire is that we will always be knowing Him more as we move through every season of life. We are walking circumspectly and redeeming the time.
The words of Romans 12 from The Message represent a family motto and a great description of living from the Center.
12 1-2 So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
9-10 Love from the center of who you are; don’t fake it. Run for dear life from evil; hold on for dear life to good. Be good friends who love deeply; practice playing second fiddle.
As we build resources to help others live a centered life, we invite you to connect and communicate with us in this journey.
